Today on Millennial Diary – Visiting Dyce London – a new trendy Instagrammable dessert place in London. When I was looking, where to go on a weekend to take nice photos, I noticed Dyce popping up quite a few times. It looked very Intagrammable – from a generation of cafes that were opened just for Instagram.
Now, I have a lot of experience with Instagrammable places in London – I even wrote a huge guide on my other blog, Tripsget. However, Dyce was new, so I didn’t have a chance to visit it yet.
Food in Dyce London, is it any good?
My problem with most of these places is that food and desserts look great, however, they usually don’t taste great. I was pleasantly surprised by how good an ice cream tasted. I ordered a monster dessert: two scoops of ice cream on a doughnut, with sprinkles and popcorn and a large ice cream cone. The doughnut looked sad on its own (when I was about to order this monster dessert), however, it tasted really good! Everything was delicious. I must admit that I shared this dessert with Pepe, as I wouldn’t be able to finish it on my own.
Queuing to take a photo?
Dyce also had very few seats – it’s new, so the place was almost empty. However, there are only two “Instagrammable seats” in the entire restaurant meaning that if they are taken, you will have to wait. I had to wait for about 30 minutes because a 12-year old girl with her mom were just sitting there and browsing their Instagram for 30 minutes. They were already there when we arrived, so they might have been there for longer than 30 minutes.
If you encounter people like these, you’ll be very unlucky!
Prices in Dyce
Oh, well! The last, but not least – prices in Dyce. They aren’t cheap at all. I paid about £11 for my doughnut ice cream and well, it probably wasn’t worth it. However, considering that many people just buy these desserts for a photo, I guess Dyce can charge as much as they want.
What do you think about photogenic food? Are you for it or against it?
